Recently my dear friend and Gypsy's breeder, Elizabeth McGee of Macbeth Kennels, lost one of her favorite English Bulldogs in  a tragic accident. Emily Rose was only four and a half years old at the time of her untimely death which makes her passing even more sad.

The photo shown above was sent to me when Emily Rose just a mere puppy dressed in a cute pink dress with a bouquet of long stem red roses in the background. I loved the photo when Elizabeth sent it to me and I still cherish it today as one of the sweetest puppy pictures I have ever seen.

According to her owner Emily Rose was always sweet and loving. She was so full of love for everyone and all the other dogs in Elizabeth's kennel that she quickly became one of the cherished few who got to live inside the main house with Elizabeth. Her best buddy was "Buttons" who is another English Bulldog owned and shown by Elizabeth who thinks she should be center stage at all times. On the night of Emily Rose's tragic accident it was Buttons who valiantly tried her best to call Emily Rose to come back home when they accidentally got loose. Unfortunately Emily Rose, in her excitement did not heed Buttons and died instantly in the dark of night when she ran down the road and faced oncoming traffic.
